The weekend opened with a champagne reception and stirring speech from broadcaster Roy Lancaster, who spoke of the joys trees bring to our everyday lives.
Allen Coombes led a guided walk around a spectacular living collection of over 100 oak species all of which have been propagated at the arboretum
Throughout the remainder of the weekend, visitors were invited to enjoy an exhibition showing how we can think globally and act locally, while listening to the music of the SoundWood Ensemble.
