A one day workshop to:
o spread information about the opportunities to re-use or recycle timber o promote best practice in the treatment of wood waste o facilitate contacts and share experience
The workshop is aimed at: > wood using businesses (e.g joiners, builders, furniture makers etc) > the waste management industry > local authority recycling officers > research or development organisations and government bodies involved in wood waste > independent timber initiatives and community projects
Speakers will include:
+ Stuart Howarth from Hadfield Wood Recyclers on recycling timber + Harry Earl from SONAE on using waste wood in chipboard + Liz Morrish from WRAP on developing markets for recycled timber + Richard Mehmed from the successful Brighton and Hove Wood Recycling Project
The workshop is sponsored by Fenside Waste Management (through the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme) and the Red Rose and Mersey Forests.
COST: £35 (including VAT) per delegate, including light lunch and refreshments
