A one day workshop to:
o spread information about the opportunities to re-use or recycle timber o promote best practice in the treatment of wood waste o facilitate contacts and share experience
The workshop is aimed at:
> wood using businesses (e.g joiners, builders, furniture makers etc) > the waste management industry > local authority recycling officers > research or development organisations and government bodies involved in wood waste > independent timber initiatives and community projects
Speakers will include:
+ Rod Gifford from West Bromwich Pallets on recycling timber for mulch + Guy Jackson from Taylor Woodrow on using reclaimed timber in the Earth Centre project, Doncaster + David Brown from B&Q on recycling timber at DIY centres + Liz Morrish from WRAP on developing markets for recycled timber + Richard Mehmed from the successful Brighton and Hove Wood Recycling Project
The workshop is sponsored by Fenside Waste Management through the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme.
COST: £35 (including VAT) per delegate, including light lunch and refreshments
