Four schools and a group of Home Educators in Cambridgeshire will be coming together to celebrate the environment through dance and music at an open air concert at the Cambridge University Botanic Gardens. The children from Dry Drayton, the Cambridge Home educators, St Paul's Primary, Girton Glebe and Histon and Impington Junior, will develop their own compositions and choreography with creative leaders Russell Keable and Amy Holly to tell the stories of music woods, the places they come from and the instruments they make.
The Cambridge event is the first in a programme of nation-wide SoundWood events for schools marking FFI's centenary celebrations. It is sponsored by the National Foundation for Youth Music and The Cambridge Sustainable City Environment Fund Fund.
The event is on Wednesday the 16th of July, and starts at 6.30pm Tickets: £6 adults; £3 children (under 11) NOTE: tickets must be bought before the event and cannot be bought on the door. For tickets please contact one of the participating schools or call FFI on 012223 571000.
