The UK National Directory of Reclaimed Furniture Suppliers

Date: * 31/10/2003

FFI has recently added a new publication to its growing portfolio of Conservation Reports, which perform a vital role in changing consumer behaviour, influencing key decision makers, improving scientific knowledge and raising awareness of the latest burning issues in conservation.

The National Directory of Reclaimed Furniture Suppliers, sponsored by Fenside Waste Management through the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme, aims to promote the use of furniture made from reclaimed wood, by helping the consumer to track down such items. Compiled and edited by FFI staff, the directory includes an introduction highlighting the environmental advantages of re-using old timber in the manufacture of new furniture and emphasizing its aesthetic appeal. Further information about this report is available from the Global Trees Campaign team at [email protected].
