The Red List of Maples (2009)
Maples are of global importance for their timber, their ecological and ornamental value, and as the source of maple syrup. This publication assessed 119 maple species using the IUCN Red List criteria and found that nearly a third are under threat of extinction in their native habitats. Download the report (4.72 MB)
The Red List of Trees of Central Asia (2009)

The Red List of Oaks (2007)
Oaks are of global importance economically, ecologically and symbolically but are threatened with extinction in several countries. This publication assessed 208 of the 500 oak species found worldwide using the IUCN Red List criteria. Download the report (621 Kb)
The Red List of Magnoliaceae (2007)
Magnolias are among the most ancient groups of flowering plants and have long been cultivated by people for timber, food, medicine and as an ornamental. This report applied the IUCN criteria and categories to 151 of the 245 Magnolia species known globally. Download the report (pdf, 2MB)
The Red List of Trees of Guatemala (2006)
The flora of Guatemala is one of the richest and most varied in the world, with both a high degree of endemism and a high level of threat. The Red List of Endemic Trees and Shrubs of Ethiopia and Eritrea (2005)
The East African countries of Ethiopia and Eritrea have one of the richest assemblages of plants in the African continent. Status and Sustainable Use of Mahogany in Central America (2006)
This report consists of a synthesis of a study of the status and sustainable use of mahogany in Nicaragua and information and outcomes from a regional workshop on the sustainable use of mahogany in the Central American region, organised in collaboration with the Nicaraguan government.

Medicinal Plants Plants for life: Medicinal plant conservation and botanic gardens (2006)
Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) have produced a report highlighting medicinal plant species considered to be most at risk . BGCI has used this information to develop new programmes to address the concerns.
Reducing Wood Waste in the UK An Introduction to Wood Waste in the UK (2001)
FFI has conducted research into the generation and disposal of wood waste in the UK, together with opportunities and constraints in the sector. UK National Directory of Reclaimed Furniture Suppliers (2003)
This publication aims to promote the use of furniture made from reclaimed wood, by helping the consumer to track down such items.
